hasty soup

  • Nutmeg, 1 pinch
  • Tomato juice, 1 pint
  • Corn Flour, 1 tea spoon
  • Onion, 1 piece
  • Parsley, finely chopped, 1 splash
  • Carrot, 1 piece
  • Cream, 1 table spoon
  • Bacon, 10 grams
  • Sugar , 1 table spoon
  • Potatoes, 1 piece



Put the tomato juice and water into a blender/ Liquidizer. Switch to full speed, slowly add the roughly cut onion, carrot, bacon and tomato

Alternatively put into a pan and simmer until hey are soft, pass through a sieve

Add sugar, seasoning and nutmeg

Put in a atewpan and simmer for 15min

Blend the cornflour with a little water and add into the pan

Cook gently for a few minutes stirring all the time

Stir in 1 tbsp cream and sprinkle with parsley then serve
