creamed chicken

40 minutes


  • Chicken, diced, 4 cups
  • Butter
  • Nutmeg, paprika, salt (each), 2 dashes
  • Cream, 1 cup
  • Dry white wine
  • Chicken Stock, 1 cup
  • Flour
  • Sherry (dry or medium), 1 table spoon



Melt butter, stir in flour.

Add stock and white wine.

Cook, stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens.

Add cream, sherry and seasonings.

Add chicken and heat gently and thoroughly.

Serve over squares of vegetables Torta.
